Liberty Place

Liberty Place was inspired by the music of Ben Harper, particularly No Mercy In This Land.

I decided to record a blues inspired set of songs where as much as I could, keep the songs and recording as simple as possible.

​

Each take was recorded straight through  and I forced myself to rely less on editing and more on the rawness of the performance, flaws and all.

​

The artwork for Donk comes from the talents of Melissa Currie.

​

The song writing ranged from tongue and cheek call outs to my best friend and my beloved four legged friends Buddy and Puddles.  There is an ode to BB and social commentary on the life in a corporation, Rinse and Repeat.

​

A personally favourite is Guilty As Sin, dedicated to my love.
